On Feb 25, 2004, workers jackhammering through a concrete wall caused the NOC area to fill with concrete dust. Plastic was laid down but by then it was too late. This is my desk.

This fine film of dust was covering EVERY surface in the room. The dust in the air made it almost impossible to breathe in the room.

Here is the result of their work. This used to be a 6 foot thick concrete wall dividing two buildings' basements.

A closer view of the cutting. First 4 holes were drilled in the corners, then the top and side edges were cut out, and finally the concrete was jackhammered out.
