Good question, kris - I am trying to do that as well. Have been trying for 2 weeks, and by my count I have spent 2 hours on hold with these fuckers.

I actually spoke to them 2 weeks ago, quite easily, with barely any time on hold. Unfortunately my phone died before I could complete the order. Now when I call back it’s never-ending hold time. Hmm, coincidence?

It took over five hours to cancel my bundled AT&T services. They charged me five hundred dollars worth of overages. They never gave me the 50 dollar rebate for Dish Network and tried to double charge me for an additional month of dish network services. The customer service reps are smart alecs and . They charged me for DSL that I had canceled. The bill was always wrong and I constantly had to call them. I am now with Sage and have no wireless service. I am very glad to be rid of AT&T.

Update I caught them overcharging me for $300 dollars in overadges and when I asked for an itimized bill they took off the charges. They were trying to rip me off. Be careful when dealing with AT&T.

For the past 8 months I have been over billed from 6 to $900 so every month I get the pleasure of telling the same story to a variety of (for the most part) concerned and caring people who understand my frustration and after 2-3 hours tell me ” this is absolutely not your fault” and attempt to refund my bill 150-$900 so every month my bill arrives nothing seems to happen. I have come to dread my bill and am going grey. Please any help would be greatly appreciated Ive tied a knot at the end of my rope and an barely hanging on.

I tried to quit and they told me I didn’t say “I quit” correctly and continued to bill me.

For all those ATT haters - If you and /or anyone you know has stock the way to get back is to vote against the management and the Board of Directors in upcoming proxy statement. If enough of us do, maybe the message will get through to that arrogant, out-of-touch bunch of clowns running ATT (SBC).
