So I occasionally post on this forum that has a couple of ongoing threads; “SHIT THAT PISSES ME OFF” and “SHIT THAT MAKES ME FUCKING HAPPY”. These are very popular threads where people post various things going on in their lives. I just posted to both of them.
In “SHIT THAT PISSES ME OFF” I posted:
A little advice, if I may.
If you happen to borrow part of your washing machine’s drain system to help install a new blade on your lawn mower, make sure that you replace it properly.
If you happen to hear a strange new splashing sound during the first spin cycle, don’t forget that you messed with the washer’s drain system and proceed to ignore it.
If you happen to get a basement floor full of two spin cycle’s worth of water, don’t choose to do it late at night during a near-freezing hailstorm.
In “SHIT THAT MAKES ME FUCKING HAPPY” I posted:
Unfinished basements make me happy.
Basement shelving that keeps all my stuff off the floor makes me happy.
Basement appliances that are properly wired and don’t electrocute dumbasses standing in a half-inch of water with them make me happy.
Make of that what you will.

At least the drain worked. And at least it was only laundry water… it could have been *much* worse.
