I've been to/through South Dakota a various points in my life and I've enjoyed it each time. I guess I just like the prarie. We'd intended to go to Devil's Tower in Montana(while we were on vacation last summer), but didn't quite get to it. I don't remember a whole lot of New Mexico, mostly just the touristy bits - White Sands and Carlsbad Caverns, oh and being lost in the desert (on an Indian Reservation) for 2 hours. But that was kind of nifty too. Colorado was definately worth seeing... for that matter, any state where you can see the Rocky Mtns is worth seeing.
